Zionist activity in the Islamic countries started in the early days of the Zionist Movement, and continued after World War I ended. Zionist activity included emissaries from Palestine who were sent to various countries and were absorbed into the existing educational institutions or established new ones, and new groups of youth movements that were opened. In this way Zionist ideas were disseminated among local Jewish communities and integrated into local Jewish activity. This operation is documented in unique photographs from the CZA collections presented here.
