The Zionist Congresses

The early Zionist congresses prided themselves on producing very artistic materials. The delegates that represented the various countries received invitations and delegate cards decorated with beautiful illustrations. The illustrations also appeared on the official postcards of the various congresses. They conveyed ideas related to Zionism, settlement, exile, the Land of Israel and various Jewish concepts. Invitations, postcards and delegate cards printed for the various congresses can be found in the personal papers of various Zionist leaders who participated in the Congresses, and in the CZA Printed Materials Collection.
