Sometimes historic events are hidden between the pages of our family albums. The photos before you have been given to the Central Zionist Archives by the daughter of Michael Bergman, who immigrated to Israel in 1933. In 1938 he served as a guard on the northern border, during construction work on the northern fence. His father was a photographer at the camp, and these pictures were taken by him. They serve as a lively documentation of a historic event and give us a fascinating peek into the daily lives of the workers.

The Central Zionist Archives needs your help- do you recognize anyone in the pictures? If so, let us know
