  גיוס לצבא הבריטי סימול: PHG1072913

The Zionist Archives holds the general correspondence files of the Recruiting and Demobilization  Offices of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa (S37). These files, dating from 1940-1947, contain correspondence encompassing all the topics related to the enlistment of soldiers as well as many lists of recruits.

The files are arranged according to the recruitment offices in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Petach Tikva, Haifa, Ramat Gan, Rishon Lezion, B'nei Brak, Hadera, and Netanya. It is important a person researching his/her family roots know where the person used to reside. Most of the files are in Hebrew.

Card catalogs of the recruitment offices
Within the framework of the project of scanning the genealogic databases of the Zionist Archives, a card catalog containing more than 25,000 records of the recruitmentoffices of the Jewish Agency was scanned.
