The cards of the Statistics Bureau of the Jewish Agency's Immigration Department were apparently created in order to provide the Immigration Department of the Jewish Agency with statistical data on the immigrants. The cards usually contain the following data: family name, first name, age, sex, marital status, citizenship, ethnic group, type of visa, occupation, training, education, names of relatives in Palestine/Israel, names and ages of the accompanying family members and date of arrival in Palestine/Israel.
All the cards have been entered into a computerized database containing more than 200,000 records.
